Helpline Training Programme Rape Crisis North East (RCNE) has contracted Dublin Rape Crisis Centre to deliver a helpline training programme for volunteers interested in maintaining RCNE Helpline Service.
The Helpline training programme can accommodate up to 12 participants. RCNE, as a result of funding awarded by POBAL, will pay for the training and in return of participating on the Training Programme, the basic commitment to RCNE is 4 hours per week over two years and attendance at training where necessary.
RCNE Helpline Service is a lifeline for many victims of sexual violence who need to talk to someone who cares. Our telephone volunteers are trained to listen, support and offer information to callers who use the line.
If you would like to become a helpline volunteer, please downloaded a Helpline Application From.
All application forms must be returned to RCNE by Friday 7th October 2011
Volunteers Voluntary activity has played a significant part in the development or Rape Crisis North East. It has contributed and continues to contribute to our sense of identity at both individual and communal level.
We currently have ten volunteers whom are actively involved in fundraising for the centre on a regular basis.
We are currently recruiting for additional volunteers to assist in fundraising activities and also to provide support and information to clients phoning the Information Helpline.
If you are interested in volunteering for Rape Crisis North East, you can phone or email us for further information.
